this year I was in comic art for a credit and one of our assignments was to create a Caricature of someone and I chose my friend as one. this was my first one, and my teacher didn't like it, so I made another one. I liked this one too much and earse or throw away so I decied to put it up here.
Okay, I totally love this image, so cute and such!
The fact that the art teacher didn't like is is a little odd, because when I took the same class the teacher never made me redraw everything, and it looked rather anime-ish. It's a frickin' cartoon class for crying out loud! People should have the right to be creative!
I don't know about you, but I'm thinking the art teacher is getting tired of seeing anime-like drawings and would rather see more 'realistic' ones; but that's just me stating my opinion. *shrugs*
Either way, I don't see why you were made to redrew that image and why you didn't get an 'A' on it. Art classes are made for people to draw in their own unique way, not the way someone else says it should be drawn. You keep drawing how you wanna draw, and if people don't like, then tough!

Thank you o so very much : D I think it's odd, but the end of the year, I think she was really trying to see something different from me. I do agree with you on all of this, but the best thing I could do, was just redraw it the best I could. other wise I did fine : D now thinking about it, the picture doesn't have very many detail on the face, she might of notice that it was too generalizing of the person. but I still like it. thank you for motivating me throughout the year : D
Aww, you're welcome. *huggles* :3 It's the best I could do. :3 I think you might have the early makings of a manga artist if you really put your mind into it. :3 You've got such a great imagination, and are easily able to make your thoughts become images on paper. I personally find it hard to get the images in my head onto paper, that's why lately I've just been doing pen drawings, because I can easily start with a line, and go from there. :3 Everyone has their own unique way of drawing and I always like to support people and motivate them to keep doing what they love to do. :3
Can't wait to see you next year!
